Coach Visit to Biddulph Grange and Biddulph Old Hall

At Biddulph Grange we will visit the grade 1 listed Victorian garden, which has rare and unusual plants from aroound the world. The diverse architectural features include an Italian terrace, an Egyptian pyramid, a Cheshire cottage, a Himalayan glen  and the famous Chinese water garden.

The itinerary includes a guided tour of Biddulph Old Hall, built in 1558, which was a Royalist stronghold during the English Civil War and came under siege by Cromwell's army.

It was home to Robert Bateman, the Pre-Raphaelite artist.

Note: there are 0ver 400 steps in the garden!
